Role of women in Germany
The third rich in Germany made a call out for the role of
women something unique that I haven’t seen before other than in what Hitler’s
crazy mind was thinking. He said that women in the Third Reich were a vital piece
of history and to make the Third Reich supreme the needed to be “racially pure”.
The women that Hitler was looking for was the average white women with no other
ethnicities other than them of Caucasian decent. That would be able to produce
as many “Aryan” children as possible. I found this unique because it shows that
Hitler really did have a push for a supreme race which he took to the extremes
of telling the white women but only if they were 100 percent Caucasian to
produce as many babies as possible. In 1936 this was pushed to the extremes of
even dedicating a specific program to this. It was carried out by the SS and
was call the Lebensborn or Fountain of life. This was an extension to the
former marriage order of 1932. It required that all SS members must try and conceive
at least 4 children in or out of wedlock. They needed to provided birth
documents and financial support to prove that they were able to make
Lebensborn. The program also recruited adopted parents to help raise the
children the “proper way” if they were unable to conceive themselves. In the
end the program was never really pushed upon the public or the SS.
